Island Market: Still fun, even when it rains!

My Reflections

Island Vibes markets hold a special place in my heart because they are truly hosted by the community, for the community. It's so much fun to have ample space in the parking lot for local artists and businesses to set up and share their work, plus a local DJ to keep the vibes going for us all night long. The Spiritual Sunflower always hosts a hula hoop flow circle at Island markets, where people of all ages and skill levels can experience the joy of hooping together. 

It was a tad rainy for this recent Island market, and while The Spiritual Sunflower had to pack up early, we still stayed out flowing in the drizzling rain until the end and had a great time. Plus, we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset to start the night with. The rainy time of year is coming here in SWFL, and this market was a reminder to keep the canopy handy for our outdoor events.

We had a new vendor come out this month, and a handful of first time attendees as well. The Spiritual Sunflower's smoky quartz necklace found the most perfect new home, and we got to share the love of hula hoops with young girls, which was such a heartwarming experience. 

One of the things that I really appreciate about markets at Island Vibes, is the staff always coming out to check on us in the parking lot, take drink orders, assist with setup and breakdown, and just making sure that everyone is having a great time. 

It's wonderful to be part of a sober, loving, fun community, and we look forward to more markets with Island Vibes!
