Reflections

It is so much fun to host a clothing swap at one of the most delicious coffee shops in Downtown Fort Myers -- Forever Grounded! This was the second swap at Forever Grounded, and we had so much fun connecting with the community.

One of my favorite parts of this clothing swap was introducing new people to it and seeing the excitement on everyone's faces when they found an item that's exactly what they were looking for. Plus, the coffee is perfect to browse while you sip on it. 

Everyone's attention to the items as they look through the clothing items and donations that keep the swaps going is so appreciated. We received a few small bags to go towards future swaps and local thrift stores and non-profits. We also found new homes for over 20 items in the swap!

This clothing swap aligned with the finale of a coffee crawl, so we also got the opportunity to raise awareness for sustainable fashion practices and future clothing swaps. 

You never know who might show up and what they might bring to a clothing swap, and this was a perfect example. I got the chance to reunite with a friend that I haven't seen in too long, which made the morning perfect. This is someone who has contributed many donations both to the clothing swaps and to The Spiritual Sunflower's business over the years, so the gratitude runs deep. 

It was a calming, bright morning for this clothing swap, and The Spiritual Sunflower looks forward to returning for another one soon.
