Reflections

The clothing swap at Kava Culture in Downtown Fort Myers has been one of my favorite days of the month for over a year now! Each and every clothing swap always brings unexpected blessings and abundance.

We are so thankful for the consistent support from the local community that keeps these monthly clothing swaps going in Downtown Fort Myers.

Thank you all for bringing your items to swap, your creativity to craft with, and hearts full of love to celebrate Kelsey's birthday together. We were busy all evening sorting through donations, making friendship bracelets, and enjoying a relaxing Sunday with the local community at Kava Culture. 

This swap started a bit late due to an afternoon parade and some of the roads in downtown being blocked off, but it all worked out for the best. We pushed back the start time by an hour to allow everyone (vendors and swappers) to make it, and received so much love and support from the local community for doing so. 

Something extra sweet about February's clothing swap is it was also Kelsey's birthday! This meant inviting a few more local vendors, and providing a few more special crafts. It was an extra busy and fun-filled evening. Plus, we all got to enjoy a sound healing session provided by the birthday girl. 

One of my favorite things about hosting clothing swap and craft events is how people of all ages and walks of life will come together to enjoy them. Kids are welcome to participate with their parents'guidance, and all adults are invited to tap into their creative expression while we clean out our closets together. 

At February's clothing swap, we received over five bags to support future swaps and donate to local thrift stores and non-profits. We also found new homes for over fifty clothing items that were previously donated. We also received requests for a bigger crafting space in the future and have made sure to make note of that!

We truly cannot express enough gratitude for everyone who comes to contribute and exchange items from the clothing swaps. It's all a community effort in order to have a variety of styles and sizes, and it would not be possible without each of you.

Join The Spiritual Sunflower and Kelsey's Treasure Yoga for a clothing swap every third Sunday of the month at Kava Culture in Downtown Fort Myers from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The next one is Sunday, March 15th, 2026.
